Rothy’s – Are they really worth the money?

I’m not the person to usually jump on the latest fad bandwagon, but had to try these amazing shoes for myself before anyone else did. Let’s start at the beginning. I have very tempermental feet. I had a bunionectomy on the right foot 2 years ago. Just recently had a bunionectomy on the left foot and still in my CAM boot as I’m 6 weeks post surgery (today to be exact).

I ordered my first pair 31503411_10215988848971451_743827304181923840_nof Rothy’s earlier this year. I got the pointy toe, because well, they look classy. I normally wear a size 7 and that’s what a I ordered. Most people have to go up a half size for the pointy, but might actually felt a bit too big, but I got used to them. If you do have size issues though, they offer free exchanges for sizing! It’s a win-win!

They are unlike anything you’ve ever worn before. I can’t even explain it. I mean, when you hear that they are made from recycled water bottles, you think, ouch! That sounds uncomfortable, but they are the furthest from it! I’ve worn them to 13-14 hour events and no blisters, no rubbing, and very little pain. The pain is going to happen no matter what you wear when you are standing up non-stop at an event.

Better yet, you can WASH them! Just take the soles out and throw them in the washer. Make sure to use cold water though, as you don’t want your Rothy’s shrinking.

Wondering if they are worth the price tag? They are. They will last forever! Only reason you’ll have to buy new pairs is that you will want ALL the colors!

So, if you are ready to get the most comfortable shoe of your life (aside from Birkenstocks), CLICK HERE to get $20 off your first purchase! You’ll thank me later. 🙂

Why is Monday such a bad word?

I’m not sure why Monday has such a negative connotation. Well, I know why it does, but we’ve just become accustomed to seeing it as a negative. If anything goes wrong, “it’s a case of the Mondays”. If the day is long “oh well, it’s a Monday”. We use Monday as an excuse for things that don’t go our way. I’m not placing blame as I’ve done it myself! Haven’t we all?! Why not change the Monday stigma? Train our brains to view it as something more positive.

If you have a full time job with regular hours (like myself), Monday should be welcomed. You have a job that is giving you a paycheck. So many people out there are laid off or can’t find a job, and here you are walking into work on a Monday, when so many others wish they could be doing the exact same thing you are.

If you are a stay at home mom, which is a more than full time job in itself, Monday is a reason for new beginnings. If you had a tough weekend or week before, Monday is your day to restart and reclaim. Forget all those times your kids annoyed you or made a mess somewhere and be thankful that you do have kids who are able-bodied to do so.

If you are a small business owner (ie, network marketing, direct sales, personal trainer, etc), Monday is the first day to reach your goals that you have set for yourself that week. It sets the tone on how the rest of the week will be.

I challenge you to stop getting a case of the Monday’s. It’s all in your head. Make Monday feel like Friday! It’s another day you are alive!
